Why does it feel like your life stops when you’re diagnosed with an autoimmune disease?

autoimmune disease didn’t stop you from wanting more, it just changes how you get it

You’ve built a life you’re really proud of.

You’re ambitious. You’ve worked hard for your career, your relationships, your independence, and the life you’ve created. You’re someone people rely on. You know how to figure things out, push through when things get hard, and keep moving toward what you want.

Then your body goes and changes the rules.

Maybe you’ve recently been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease or, maybe you’ve been living with one for years and are realizing that the way you’ve been managing everything isn’t working anymore.

The pace that used to be normal wipes you out. Your energy isn’t always predictable. Pushing through has a different cost. You start planning around symptoms, recovering for days from a late night, or wondering how long you can keep doing everything the way you’ve always done it.

You don’t want to walk away from the life you worked so hard to build - but, you don’t know what to do next.

You don’t want someone to tell you to care less about your career, lower your expectations, or simply “slow down.” You want to understand how to keep going without constantly asking your body to pay the price.

That starts with learning to operate differently.

To stop overriding what your body is telling you and start accounting for what you actually have capacity for.

To stop waiting until your body forces you to change course and start recognizing what you need earlier.

To separate what you genuinely want from what you’re doing to prove you can still handle it all.

And to stop trying to get back to who you were before everything changed—and start intentionally building what comes next.

Your ambition doesn’t have to disappear because your circumstances changed.

But the way you carry it might.

There's No One Right Way Forward

When I first started out on my autoimmune journey, I was trying to solve the wrong problem - and what I do now is help women avoid the same mistakes I made.

The goal isn’t to become who you used to be - it’s figuring out who you are now.

That's not something anyone can hand you. We figure it out over time. Sometimes on our own and sometimes with someone who’s willing to ask different questions, and sit with us while we figure it out.

if this is a conversation you'd like to keep having...

I'd love to continue it with you.

I don't believe there's one right way to navigate life with autoimmune disease. I don't believe your path should look like mine - or anyone else's. I do believe it’s easier to make sense of what you’re going through when you’re not doing it alone.

Let me be that person who shows up for you and together, we’ll:

  • Explore not only your symptoms but the life you’re trying to build along side them

  • Uncover expectations you’ve been carrying, whether you realize it or not

  • Identify patterns that belong to the old version of you & need to be reset for the new version to thrive

  • Notice what you’ve been too busy living to notice for yourself

We don’t do this because there’s a perfect answer - trust me, there’s not. But! Understanding those things makes it easier to make decisions that actually fit the life you're living now.

My role isn't to tell you who to become - it’s to hold space where you can be honest about where you are, what you're carrying, and where you'd like to go from here.
